Changelog
FunGen is in active development. Here are the highlights of recent versions - the full notes and downloads for every platform are on the GitHub releases page.
2.6.3 · September 9, 2026
- Audio Dance settings preview live on the timeline, with volume-shaped stroke depth and an optional stability control.
- Audio Dance suggests Half or Double time when the soundtrack is clear, ready to compare in the preview.
- Audio Dance Auto corrects clear half-time and double-time reads and follows double-time better through slow passages. Uncertain tracks and the On beat default are left alone.
- Connecting a Handy in whole-script mode, an Autoblow Ultra or a Vacuglide works again. In 2.6.2 it failed unless you started playback first.
- Audio Dance reports the song's tempo instead of reading sparse strokes as slower music.
- Audio Dance ignores codec-induced double-time beats, so a converted track keeps its rhythm.
- Choosing a chapter type's anchor no longer freezes the app, and the Auto, Top and Bottom buttons show their full labels.
2.6.2 · September 8, 2026
- Audio Dance: generate motion from the soundtrack of a video, tune it with live controls and preview it before applying. It follows tempo and musical-section changes across the track.
- Video links queue while you keep working, save to a folder you choose, and stay unopened when each download finishes.
- Stash scene markers import as chapters in one undoable edit, and several selected chapters export as one clip with a matching funscript.
- T-Code devices connect over Bluetooth or are discovered on the local network. Official builds also include BLE for Kiiroo, Vorze, Lovense and Handy.
- Fade tools can finish at a chosen depth and lean earlier or later. Vibrate, stroke generation and Amplify gained the same shaping control.
- Chapters can no longer overlap, point edits keep their exact timing, and a deleted axis cannot come back.
- Steadier on malformed or interrupted video, on sleeping drives and on unresponsive network servers. Text scaling now applies to the whole interface.
2.6.1 · August 27, 2026
- Automatic processing keeps going past the first scene, instead of advancing only while the Welcome screen was open.
- The scene limit in Preferences is the one the library actually uses.
- Fewer sections come out empty: the chapter classifier has to be confident before it silences a span.
- Fixed: the Stash library reappears after being re-added, the Studio opens from the button again, drive scanning behaves after an update, and an even number of open timelines no longer causes visual artifacts during generation.
2.6.0 · August 25, 2026
- FunGen is out of beta.
- Stroke assist: Tab proposes the next point, and fills gaps from both sides.
- Fade a selection with a live preview, and a smart speed limit that gives an over-fast stroke more time instead of less depth.
- Auxiliary axes for VR: roll, pitch, twist, surge and sway. Four more device backends, on a shared BLE transport.
- Undo keeps the whole history instead of the last 500 steps, and a run that would overwrite authored points asks first.
- The queue shows a tracker per row, with separate batch and file progress. Welcome and Studio rebuilt.
- Library search reaches your servers too. FFmpeg 9.0.1, built and bundled by FunGen.
2.5.3-beta · August 5, 2026
- Hot fixes.
2.5.2-beta · August 3, 2026
- Hot fixes to the update and startup checks, which could report the wrong reason when they failed.
- No changes to generation, tracking or the editor. Upgrading was optional unless you hit one of these.
2.5.1-beta · August 2, 2026
- Native macOS menu bar, OSSM device support (experimental), and VR projection auto-detect.
- One rail instead of two, one progress meter in the status bar, and a Movement card replacing the stroke hover tooltip.
- Doctor shows before and after on the real timeline, with matching counts.
- Fixed: drag-and-drop now picks the right tracker for 2D vs VR, your theme survives a restart, settings no longer reset on launch, and saving after New timeline could wipe a tuned funscript.
2.5.0-beta · July 25, 2026
- Windows GPU tracking: VR decode and dewarp run on the graphics card, the default for 8-bit.
- On-device chapter classification for VR Pro runs, and script provenance recorded in published scripts.
- Open from a link: paste a URL on Welcome and tracking starts on download. Trim left and right on the timeline.
- Preferences rebuilt, 11 tabs into 8, with working search and Reset. Generation moved into the FunGenerate hub.
- Viewer gains scan-to-open QR, a speed heatmap and remote control. A memory governor holds FunGen to a budget.
- GPU optical flow 27-35% faster on Apple silicon. Fixed the free VR tracker analysing the whole lens instead of its 90 degree window.
2.4.2-beta · July 18, 2026
- Stash and XBVR auto-processing: tag a scene, and FunGen downloads, generates, publishes the script back and retags it.
- Library filters by studio, performer, tag and script status, plus server-synced favourites.
- Open video from a web URL via yt-dlp, with one-click install. Delete Axis and Convert to single-axis.
- Chapter Recover brings back the signal on suppressed close-up and low-motion spans.
- Generate from the library now runs in the background, and VR is auto-detected from server metadata without a filename marker.
2.4.1-beta · July 12, 2026
- Fixed the free Endpoints tracker and a bug where hidden points could get erased.
- New preference for the full macro box; fixed a digit leak during alternating inserts.
- Fixed marquee selection catching stray point drags; added a Delete Axis action.
2.4.0-beta · July 11, 2026
- New 2D and VR Pro AI models: sharper, better timed.
- Network libraries: browse and open scenes straight from Stash, XBVR and DLNA.
- Record Screen: capture the app window to a WebM under 10 MB with a one-click toolbar button.
- Generate hub: one dialog for AI, FunGenerate and Procedural generation.
- Endpoint snap: stroke ends snap to the computed reversal, on by default.
- Simpler Preferences, a per-axis range slider with a live meter, and a slimmer selection bar.
- Fixes: T-code device handling, dropped points on Cloud Handy, a virtual SR6 stroke that ran short, and mid-stroke tracker notches.
2.2.7-beta · June 23, 2026
- In-app prices now refresh from the live pricing automatically, so About and Welcome stay current.
- Round of fixes and refinements.
2.2.6-beta · June 20, 2026
- Multiple timelines: load and compare several scripts side by side.
- Fixes.
2.2.3-beta · June 16, 2026
- New 2D Pro AI model, plus a live preview of what the 2D tracker actually sees.
- Projects save in a new compact format with automatic backups; undo/redo and full edit history survive closing and reopening.
- Frame-perfect scrubbing with background pre-loading.
- Press a number key to set selected points to that height; new variance knob for more natural strokes.
2.2.2-beta · June 14, 2026
- Funscript Doctor reorganised into Diagnosis / Differential tiers, with a new missing-strokes check and one-click rhythm fill, plus Pro AI gap-fill.
- Toolbar regrouped and collapses cleanly on small screens.
- Import as new script; projects reopen where you left off; digit-row shortcuts work on AZERTY / QWERTZ.
2.2.1-beta · June 13, 2026
- Open .funscript and .fungen files directly with FunGen on macOS, Windows and Linux.
- Zoom and pan the 2D video; "magnet and set" with Shift + a digit.
- Hardware decode for AV1 and VP9; multi-GPU black-screen fix with a manual GPU picker.
- Safer file handling: FunGen never silently overwrites a funscript it did not create.
2.2.0-beta · June 12, 2026
- FunGen now decodes video itself, directly on your GPU - no embedded player in the middle.
- Hardware decode for H.264, H.265 and AV1, including 10-bit and 8K VR.
- A status pill shows which engine your video runs on; Windows and Linux moved to the new engine.
