Privacy

FunGen processes your videos, funscripts, edits and AI generation on your computer. It does not upload them to FunGen. This notice explains the few network requests the app can make, what the website measures, and what FunGen keeps when you buy a pass or make contact.

Your work stays local

The AI models run locally. FunGen has no cloud processing service for your videos or funscripts.

App connections

FunGen contacts its update service for release and licence-status information. The current version does not attach your pass, a FunGen account, device details, settings or usage data. Versions before 2.6.0 did attach a pass fingerprint, per-machine and per-user tokens and usage counters; an installation that has not been updated may still send them until it is. Nothing sent to that endpoint has been stored since 22 August 2026. Cloudflare receives standard connection data, such as an IP address and request headers, to deliver the response. FunGen does not build a user profile from this request.

Device connections you choose

Local, Bluetooth and local-network device modes do not send your script to FunGen. If you choose a device manufacturer's internet service, the credential and control data needed to operate it go directly to that provider under its privacy notice. FunGen does not receive a copy.

This website

FunGen uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance statistics, without analytics cookies added by FunGen. Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools may provide aggregate search reports. FunGen does not add advertising pixels or cross-site audience profiling.

Browser Script Workshop

The Script Workshop reads the script and optional video you choose locally in your browser. It does not upload their contents or filenames. Edits stay in the tab until you download a copy or workspace; the workshop does not save your files to a server or browser storage. Modifier presets contain editing settings and are saved in browser storage only when you choose Save preset. The optional experimental device controls send motion commands directly to the USB, Bluetooth, or WebSocket device you select. They do not upload the script or video to FunGen or Handy cloud servers. The built-in playback demo downloads a small public example from this site.

Purchases, passes and messages

There is no FunGen account. When you buy or receive a pass, FunGen keeps the information needed to issue and administer it: your email address, the name or label written into the pass, its tier and dates, the signed pass itself, and the payment reference. Commercial licences may also include the organisation, a contact, the seat count and the term.

If you send an email, Proton processes the message. Resend processes the address and licence email when a pass is delivered. PayPal or Patreon processes a payment made through its service and supplies the transaction details needed to fulfil it. Those providers process data under their own privacy notices.

Why it is used and how long it is kept

Purchase and licence data is used to perform the purchase or licence agreement; support and aggregate measurement to operate FunGen and prevent fraud.

Licence-check records were kept for 365 days from receipt. Collection stopped on 22 August 2026 and the working store was cleared on 24 August 2026, ahead of that period. A copy preserved for an open request is kept only for as long as that matter requires.

A licence record is kept while the pass it describes subsists, because the pass cannot be recognised or reissued without it, and afterwards for as long as accounting law requires. A pass issued without an expiry date is perpetual, so its licence record is kept for as long as that licence subsists. That is a criterion rather than a fixed period, and it follows from the licence being perpetual. Other records are kept only while they are reasonably needed for the purposes above.

The services involved are Cloudflare (website, update endpoint, aggregate analytics and pseudonymous licence sync), GitHub (downloads), PayPal and Patreon (payments), Resend (licence delivery) and Proton (mailbox). Some may process data outside your country under their own data-transfer arrangements. FunGen does not sell personal data or provide it to advertisers.

Your choices and rights

FunGen's privacy contact for access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection requests is support@fungen.app. A request may require enough information to confirm that it concerns your records. An erasure request applies to records that can lawfully be erased. Some transaction or licence-status records may need to be retained for accounting, legal claims or fraud prevention. Legal exceptions may apply.

If you are in the EEA, you may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live, work or believe a breach occurred. This notice was last reviewed on 19 September 2026.
