Funscripts for The Handy
FunGen can play a standard stroke funscript to The Handy over its supported Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. You can use a script you already have or generate one from supported video, then review it in the same app.

Start with a matching video and script
Open the local video with its matching .funscript beside it, or open the script from the File menu. Confirm that the stroke timeline contains points and that the video is the same edit the script was made for. The Handy uses the stroke track; auxiliary rotation or translation tracks are for other hardware.
If you need a script first, follow the AI generation walkthrough. Use a short preview to evaluate your footage. A connected device is not required to inspect the generated timeline.
Choose a connection method

Open Devices, select The Handy, enter the connection details needed by your chosen method, and connect. The Wi-Fi path uses the provider's service; Bluetooth is a direct local path and does not require a Handy connection key.
The Wi-Fi options include whole-script synchronized playback and, on supported firmware, live-follow playback. FunGen checks firmware before offering the live-follow mode. Use the choices actually available for your device; a missing mode is not fixed by repeatedly changing the script.
Check timing with a short section
- Confirm the device shows connected and that the stroke output is enabled.
- Choose a modest device range and play a short section with easy-to-identify movements.
- If there is a constant delay, adjust the device timing offset a little and replay the same section.
- Check another section later in the video. A changing delay may indicate a mismatched video edit rather than one incorrect offset.
Whole-script modes prepare or upload motion before synchronized playback. After editing the script, use the app's resend or reconnect controls as appropriate and verify that the device is playing the new version.
Common problems and useful checks
- Connection key fails: check the current key, device connectivity and chosen Wi-Fi mode. Keep the key private when sharing logs or screenshots.
- Bluetooth cannot find the device: check its connection mode, distance and app permission, and close another app that may already own the connection.
- Connected but no motion: confirm that a script is loaded, its output is enabled and the playback position is inside its timestamp range.
- The motion falls behind only during fast sections: inspect the requested speed with the Doctor and review the range. An offset alone does not change physical speed limits.
- Whole-script connection fails on 2.6.2: the 2.6.3 release fixes a connection problem that previously required playback to have started. Update before troubleshooting the old behaviour.
Watch on a headset or another screen
FunGen's streamer and supported player bridges provide separate video and synchronization options. First get local script playback working, then follow the VR workflow. Test a single player and a single device before adding more connections.
